STUDY WITH ME

Hi there! My name is Lawrence I'm a multi-genre professional bassist with over 14 years of experience.
and as a lecturer at Waterbear College of Music and The British Institute of Modern Music.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience, both junior and adult, privately and within the British Institute of Modern Music, The Waterbear College of Music and local music services.

I teach both online and offline lessons. Offline lessons are held at my home studio in Walthamstow. Online lessons are held on SYNKii, a virtual classroom specifically for music education I’ve been developing since November 2020.

As a teacher, I aim to align your passion for music with a structured path for incremental improvement, keeping you topped up on inspiration and forever improving. I teach the majority of my lessons online through a platform I've developed called SYNKii, but if you're local to East London, I'm happy for you to come over to my studio :) Post-online lessons, you will receive a video and a Notion link with all notes and annotations taken in the lesson.

TESTIMONIALS

Lawrence is absolutely brilliant, he couldn’t be more encouraging and understanding of his students needs. He really gets that the learning process is a two way street, and has been fantastic at accommodating me and what I need to learn, definitely one of the best teachers in London
Rory Pearce, Student

Lawrence stepped in at the last moment for Lola Aviva’s gig in London. Pleasure to work with. Very Professional and a really nice guy!
Daniel A, Artist Manager

‘I was looking to get back into having some regular lessons again and Lawrence is great at finding new ways to look at playing the instrument and keeping me inspired’
Luke Hawkins, Student

“Insane musician. I had given him an album's worth of material, with no notation or score to learn for a rehearsal and he knew it better than I did in such a short period of time. To add to this, a really affable guy, reliable and professional. Hire. Now.”
Chris Nuelle, Sermon

Lawrence is an incredibly talented bass player and musician. Combined with being a consummate professional and a very easy going and friendly person, this makes Lawrence an ideal person to work with and as a result, is mine and many others go to guy.
Ben Johnsen, The Low Down

I've only recently got to know Lawrence and I'm so glad we met.
Lawrence has played bunch of gigs with our band and has brought a huge amount to our live set. When we rehearse he is always the first one in the studio and comes 100% prepared, knows all the tunes and then adds some extra. Bottom Line is that not only is Lawrence very very good at the bass he is also a really excellent person with super-duper GSOH. Would totally recommend Lawrence for any project or as a tutor.
Jake Paris, The Marine Island Band
